blooming in black

Jul 31, 2018

as a black woman who’s a child of immigrants, people questioned diana morris’ accomplishments all her life. “are you really so smart, or did they admit you to this school to meet a quota?” “are you really that good at your job, or do they just need to ‘celebrate diversity’?” not surprisingly, this led diana to doubt too. when she lost the one thing she knew she was great at, she learned some things that changed her and the way she handled every doubt after that.

this episode is our second “bloom class,” where our guest breaks down the steps she took to overcome obstacles most of us face in getting to our dreams. diana’s episode focuses on imposter syndrome, the feeling that maybe you’re not good enough/qualified/worthy of where you are, and three ways to overcome it.
